You are Not Bad at Everything; You are Not Just where You Belong

Have you ever had this feeling where no matter how hard you try, you’re still not good at anything? or you see other people like scientists, artists, directors, musicians, athletes etc and think, “why am I not as good as them?” or “I will never be like them”. But what if I say, the problem is not you, and that you are a right person in the wrong place. You cannot shine in something you don’t love. For the most part, we choose the career option that looks good in the eyes of society and that doesn’t disappoint your parents or teachers, but is that actually what you want to pursue? Are you genuinely interested in that line of work? Because, when you are not given a chance to pick your area of interest, you lack motivation, and struggle to put in effort needed to improve. You mistake this struggle as incompetence, and believe that you don’t have what it takes, to excel in anything. You end up feeling stuck, disconnected and lost which can lead to low self-esteem, lack of self-confidence, imposter syndrome, burnout and even depression. 

Success comes from alignment.  People excel in a particular field, not because they are talented, but because they love what they do. Passion fuels, consistency, and effort. When you find that drive, you don’t have to force discipline, because you show up every day no matter what. You come up with innovative ideas. Your sincerity, and passion will be reflected on your work, and you get amazing results. You will start attracting opportunities effortlessly, and keep getting better at what you do. It’s not only that, you develop more confidence, and have this unshakable faith in yourself, that you can achieve almost anything.

Now how to find where you fit? It’s simple, just listen to yourself. Notice what excites you, and makes you spend time researching about it. What gets you involved? What makes time flies so quickly?  Forget external validation, and explore what resonates with you on a deep level, and trust the process, redirections bring you where you are meant to be. 

You are not a failure, you are just in the process of figuring out what you truly want, and its completely okay to change path, spend time experimenting and find out what connects with you. Sit with yourself and take note of your ideas, your areas of interest that inspires and intrigues you. When you find where you truly belong, success will feel natural.
