Chennai’s Shubh Chowdhari Gallops to World No. 3 in Show Jumping!
Showjumping sport is expensive. It requires practise with three to four horses and the training involving travel and veterinary care is expensive. The class X student now seeks sponsorship to scale greater heights. “Sponsorship would allow me to have the best of Coaches, horses, travel and resources. For me it’s more than just a sponsorship sponsorship. For me it’s about me building a partnership with those who trust my journey and want to see India’s equestrian team excel in the future”, Shubh added.
The sport requires a great partnership with horses three times his size and more by weight. The experience Shubh says gives him thrill.

The Chennai boy works quite hard balancing his studies and sporting passion. His day starts as early as 4 AM. The family is excited and is commited to support him. His mother Khushboo Chowdhari says “It’s just a start to a very long journey. This requires discipline, love and a constant support from the family. Being there for him emotionally and mentally is the best thing I could do”.
When asked who’s his inspiration, Shub says “Imtiaz Anees and Fouaad Mirza”. Certainly, a promising young champion in the equestrian space India should nurture and root for.
