Our minds absorb everything we listened to and grew up with many beliefs, fears, doubts, and habits engraved in our brain. When we were children, we didn’t have the ability to reject any thoughts, so we accept everything we were told by our parents, relatives, caregivers and the other adults in our life. For instance, if you grew up listening things like, “You have to  adjust even when you are being disrespected”,  “Working extremely hard without resting is  right” or that “Money is very hard to earn” and even after becoming an adult, these limiting  beliefs, which are deeply engraved in your subconscious mind resurfaces, and stops you from  reaching your full potential.

A lot of people have visions for future, and before even trying, they give up, because they believe deep down, they cannot be successful, or it is unrealistic for them to live their dream life. The people and the society we grew up play a major role in this, but that doesn’t mean we cannot reprogram those patterns. You can rewire your brain, by identifying and challenging the outdated beliefs and create a new, empowered reality. Remember the common phrases you’ve been told by your parents and elders about money, failure and success.  Now think if those limiting beliefs are actually yours or not. Challenge them, by practicing affirmations. If you believe “I am never good at anything” substitute it with affirmations like, “I am enough and I am confident” “I am worthy of love and success” loudly with emotion and conviction.

Visualize your desired reality every day and feel the emotions like it already happened. Start doing positive self-talk, journaling and most importantly shift your focus to gratitude. Being grateful for everything you own in your life, helps you to have an abundance mindset instead of scarcity. Heal your inner child, by reparenting yourself. Start speaking kindly to yourself, and give yourself all the love, respect, encouragement you craved as a child. Let go of resentment, forgive people not because they deserve it, but because you deserve peace. Instead of being with people who are judgemental, negative and drain your energy, surround yourself with positive, like-minded people who uplift you. Do things you like, explore your favourite podcasts, books and music, or anything that makes feel inspired, and alive. Take aligned actions, by investing your time and energy on yourself, set boundaries, and do small things everyday out of your comfort zone. Action reinforces new neural pathways and proves your brain that you are truly changing. Stay committed to your journey, be consistent, and patient, and ditch perfectionism. Show up every day, believing in yourself.
