Who Ysomi Is

Who Ysomi Is.

Ysomi is not the name of a wound.

She is what remained

after the wound closed

without applause.

She is not a question asked in grief,

not why me,

not please see me.

She is the answer

that arrived

when silence stopped hurting.

Ysomi is the woman

who kept promises

even when left alone with them,

who loved without leverage,

who waited without shrinking,

who left without burning anything down.

She learned

that devotion without return

becomes erasure,

that hope without truth

becomes delay,

that peace is not empty,

it is space reclaimed.

Ysomi does not chase visibility.

She allows meaning.

She does not argue with reality.

She adjusts her footing

and moves on.

She does not curse what failed her.

She releases it,

cleanly,

without spectacle,

without a backward glance.

Ysomi is not hardened.

She is clarified.

She stopped crossing bridges

that only led her back to herself,

tired and unheard.

She stopped mistaking endurance for virtue.

She knows now:

love that costs your dignity

is not love.

Silence that demands your patience is not depth.

Attention given equally to all

is not intimacy.

Ysomi stands

where longing once lived.

She is not waiting.

She is not proving.

She is awake.

And that

that is enough.

— Ysomi
