
Writing — My Safe Space to Feel and Heal

We all have something we are naturally good at — a medium through which we can fully express ourselves. Artists do it through music, films, books, paintings, and poems, sharing their imagination and unique way of seeing the world. For me, it is writing. I feel most like myself when I am working on my weekly articles — it’s where my thoughts flow freely.
First of all, I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to write and publish it every week. The best part about writing is that – there isn’t just one best part. It starts with deciding what I want to write about. Sometimes, the ideas come easily, and other times I find myself cracking my brain for inspiration — like this time, when I decided to write about writing itself. No matter how challenging it gets, I genuinely enjoy the process of coming up with new topics. Almost everything I write reflects my perspective shaped by my experience. So far, I have written and published 41 articles, and each one holds meaning for me. Every experience, good or bad — has taught me something valuable. Sometimes, I write about the society’s flawed expectations on women, or the pressure children face in the education system. Other times I explore things I am learning and practicing — like mindset, healing and gratitude — or simple joys like books, music, and weather. These topics not only excite me but also help me understand myself better. When I put my thoughts into words, I can see how deeply I think — and how my perspective often differs from others in its own way.
Each article I write feels like a conversation with my inner self. When I reimagine education, it reflects my longing for the kind of environment and learning I wish I had experienced. When I write about people-pleasing, setting boundaries — it is me revisiting the past happenings which I can’t change — but I can always learn from. Every time I write, I feel lighter — as if I’ve released all my pent-up emotions. Putting my scrambled thoughts into words feels like giving them a voice, a space to breathe. And when I read my finished piece, there’s a quiet sense of satisfaction and pride that follows.
But what makes writing truly special is when people read my articles and tell me how a particular piece resonated with them. Those moments make everything worthwhile. It feels like a gentle nudge from the universe, telling me to keep going. I am someone who feels deeply — who loves to linger on certain lines in a story and lets lyrics completely wash over me. There are so many words which I’ve read and heard, which makes me think, “This is exactly what I needed.” They resonate not just with my mind but with my soul. So, when readers tell me that my words made them feel the same way, I feel eternally grateful. I’m especially thankful to www.tellmystory.in team, not only for giving me this opportunity, but also for trusting me with creative freedom — to write what truly speaks to me. That sense of satisfaction and contentment I feel every week is something I cherish deeply. And with each article, I also get to celebrate my consistency and commitment — both of which push me to think deeper, grow further and write better.
Writing every week has now become a habit — an integral part of my life. The reason I was able to show up consistently and come up with so many different articles is simple: I genuinely enjoy it. Of course, there have been ups and downs — days when focusing felt impossible or when I struggled to even start or finish a piece. But one thing remained the same: every time I write, I feel fulfilled. I am truly glad I began this journey, because writing has become something I need. And I’ll continue to write — because that’s when I am truly, unapologetically and authentically me.
