
Hero Garbage Collector Returns Lost Belongings

It was during his normal work Urbaser Driver Manivannan involved in collecting garbage stumbled upon a bag at Kamaraj Colony which had a smartphone, Rs 2000 cash, debut cards and medical records. The man from Mylapore had no second thoughts. He immediately called his Supervisor Balaji who traced the rightful owner.
Mr Ponmudi, a senior citizen from Saidapet had lost them and for him it was a pleasant surprise.
The company, Urbaser honoured Manivannan, acknowledging his integrity. Manivannan is married to Chandrakala and the couple has two children. Manivannan told tellmystory.in “I merely did what I am supposed to do. I am happy I was felicitated. I love to work for the company”.
Certainly Manivannan stands tall as a role model and an inspiration.
