Air Stillness

The Cross They Choose.

Air Stillness

For the one who lives in the silence between stars

by Ysomi

The wind does not ask

why the tree does not speak

it dances anyway,

leaf by silent leaf.

So I too,

will love you in stillness,

in the hush between waves,

where names are not spoken

but never forgotten.

Some nights,

the stars blink slower

as if holding back tears

for someone they can’t reach.

And I,

cupping moonlight in my hands,

whisper no prayers,

only your name,

like a secret

the universe already knows.

Beautiful lines about love in silence.
When the stars blink slow ..
And you cup the beauty of moon ..
Then you will see the fireflies all around..
    Witnessing the night..

Thank you for such a beautiful response Rini it truly touched me.Yes… when the stars blink slow and the moon is cupped in stillness, love speaks in silence, and even the fireflies gather to listen.Your words feel like an extension of the poem itself soft, glowing, and full of soul.
I’m so glad Air Stillness found its way to a heart like yours

When you are in the midst of darkness
    Where loneliness engulf your soul
    Twinges of hopelessness felt
    Chirping sound of crickets heard
The only sound to break the silence
Open the window of your heart
To see the magic in your backyard
The most fascinating view on earth
    Hundreds of shimmering fireflies
The glowing light in the dark
Millions of twinkling stars in the sky
Like diamonds in the black carpet
And you are the shining moon in darkness
    To spread the light around….

Thank you Rini, In your darkness, you saw the light
      fireflies dancing in unspoken prayer,
      stars like ancient echoes,
and the moon… perhaps, a mirror.

Thank you for standing still with me
long enough to see what silence reveals.**
