
Gadget Free Hour 2021

For the third year ParentCircle, a community that works on parenting is organising gadget-free hour on the 20th November, World Children’s Day. They urge parents and children to switch off their devices for an hour so they could have quality interaction.
This year they are appealing to families to pledge for a 14 day challenge to make this a habit, to connect with family as the pandemic triggered work from home and virtual learning, they say have affected children’s mental well being and confidence.
Nalina Ramalakshmi, the Founder of ParentCircle speaks to tellmystory.in on the negative impact of excessive screen time and how this campaign could it around establishing a strong connect in the family.
