MCC Choir’s Soulful Rendition of Tamil Thai Vazhtu

The choir of The Madras Christian College has released a soulful rendition of Tamil Thai Vazhtu, the state song of Tamil Nadu.  

 

The album is an attempt to showcase this  to local communities as a model to emulate and to make it appealing to international audiences as well. “Indian music is melodic in nature but western harmony adds colour to the strength of the melody and brings out the rich cultural heritage” says Dr Paul Wilson, the Principal of the 185 year old Institution.
